The Raising Up of David’s Tabernacle

“The Tabernacle of David is ONLY the Most Holy Place of the Tabernacle of Moses. The Tabernacle of David did NOT include the Outer Court, or the Holy Place. God said he was going to RESTORE the Tabernacle of David. The Tabernacle of David is FEMININE and is more specifically the WOMB. The westward side, or really two sides, are the THIGHS which open to give ACCESS to the Womb.   • “And he hath on his vesture and on HIS THIGH a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.” - Revelation 19:16

  • Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by Me.” - John 14:6

  • “And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his THIGH; and the hollow of Jacob's THIGH was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.” - Genesis 32:25

  • Speaking of a woman caught in adultery, “And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her THIGH shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.” - Numbers 5:27

The entire purpose for David having erected a Tabernacle was to house the Ark of the Covenant upon its return from being held captive by the Philistines - the Israelites having taken it into battle in a grievous display of their misplaced trust in the actual religious symbol, rather than what the symbol represents - that is, the PROVISION of God. After capturing the Ark and keeping it for a total of seven months, the Philistines had the Ark returned to Israel because of the plagues it brought upon the people.  Little did they know that the Ark of the Covenant was a TYPE of Jesus Christ as THE SANCTIFIER OF ISRAEL.

“SANCTIFY unto Me all the FIRSTBORN, whatsoever OPENETH THE WOMB.” - Exodus 13:2

The “womb” is a type of the MIND, or SOUL - thus, the RAISING UP of David’s Tabernacle is a TYPE of RESTORATION of the UNION between the SOUL and the SPIRIT. . .the union of the HUSBAND (Adam/David/Spirit) to the WIFE (Eve/Michal/Soul), and even more specifically - the BRIDE OF CHRIST brought into conformity with her HUSBAND instead of her trying to rule over Him. . .as was the curse given to the Woman in the Garden of Eden. 

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. . .”, see Deuteronomy 28:15-29:19.

But. . .“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” - Galatians 3:13

The Story of David & Michal

But first a little background. . .

  • Saul is a type of SELF.

  • Saul had TWO DAUGHTERS:

  • The eldest, Merab, had originally been promised to David but when the marriage day arrived, Saul gave her to Adriel the Meholathite instead.

    • Merab means: INCREASE

    • Adriel means: FLOCK OF GOD

    • Meholathite means: MEADOW OF DANCING

      *** It’s worth mentioning here that Abel Mehola was a city of Issachar, the birthplace of Elisha, and that when the Ark was returned to Israel, the Levites set it upon a great stone in the plain of Abel (1 Samuel 6:18).

  • After Merab was given to Adriel, Michal (the younger of the Saul’s two daughters) fell in love with David and was given to him in marriage. But, when David fled from Saul - Saul took Michal back and gave her over to another man - namely Phaltiel.

    • Once David was able to overcome Saul and was pronounced King over Israel, his only requirement of the sons of Saul was that Michal be returned to him - Phaltiel following after her and crying tears over her the whole way.

    • Michal means: WHO IS LIKE GOD

      . . .the root of which means: TO PREVAIL, TO OVERCOME

    • Phaltiel means: DELIVERANCE OF GOD

  • Merab then bears five sons to Adriel, but after both Merab & Adriel die, Michal is the one who raises them (herself being BARREN).

    • These five sons are later HANGED when David agrees to hand over the offspring of Saul to satisfy the slaying of the Gibeonites - thus, bringing an end to a three-year famine brought upon Israel due to God’s anger over the slayings.  (“But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite: And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the Lord: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.”, see 2 Samuel 21.) 

    • The beginning of the barley harvest was at the Passover. . .during the three days leading up to the day of the Firstfruits and the seven-day Feast of Unleavened Bread. These are the same three days which Ruth spent gleaning in the fields of Boaz, (Ruth 1:22) - not to mention the three days of which our Lord Jesus Christ spent in the grave. Barley bread may have been a staple for the poor and its meal used to feed horses, but God also used it as a symbol of deliverance (Judges 7:13-14).  Is it any wonder then, that our Lord fed five thousand with "five barley loaves” and "two small fishes"(John 6:9, see also 2 Kings 4:42), making this connection quite significant. . .wouldn’t you agree?

Anyhow, getting back to the story at hand. . .it is interesting to note that the hanging of Merab’s five sons took place AFTER the Ark of the Covenant was returned to Israel. We don’t hear anything at all pertaining to Michal and David’s life together - whether loving or otherwise, until the Ark of the Covenant is brought “home”. As the story unfolds, we see that Michal was not down in the streets with the rest of the Israelites who were rejoicing over the Ark’s return, but she watched from a window as David danced “unrestrained” before the Ark’s Triumphal Entry. Only when David returns to bless his own household do we see Michal again - and here, she greets David with utter disdain, saying to him “How glorious was the king of Israel today, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!” You see, in Michal’s eyes. . .David had lowered himself to the level of a SERVANT, rather than conducting himself with the dignity of a noble ruler - to which David rightly replied, “It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord. And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. . .Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death." (2 Samuel 6:20-23). Michal may have raised Merab’s sons, but she never had the experience of a son opening her own womb!

From this, I was able to see that Michal is the SEED FORM OF JEZEBEL!  And, like the Church at Ephesus, Michal had FORGOTTEN HER FIRST LOVE! As I was thinking about Michal and Jezebel, I picked up my reading on the Church at Thyatira where Preston Eby has so aptly described the spirit of Jezebel, saying, “. . .Jezebel REPRESENTS THE SOUL THAT WILL NOT LET THE SPIRIT OF GOD WITHIN HER TO TOUCH HER, NOR TO BE A HUSBAND TO HER [. . .for her very name means: MARRIED TO BAAL!]. She refuses to enter into union with the Spirit and thus spurns the purposes of God - rejecting the living word of the Lord and will stone - literally or figuratively - any prophet who would speak the word of the Lord. She has a multitude of lovers as she follows after man and his ways - man’s methods, man’s programs, man’s promotions, and man’s organizations. She seeks NO INTIMACY with the Christ of God, nor does she submit to the Spirit’s Lordship.

Thus, is the Woman - the SOUL, who hearkens to the serpent is deceived in every way imaginable. The spiritual person is above the fray, but the Woman is totally immersed in it. When the serpent spoke to the Woman, she could have asked direction of the Spirit, but she chose not to. The Woman had not experienced God, was not conscious of God, did not know the LIFE OF GOD as the Man did. The Woman needed to depend on the Man, just as the SOUL needs to depend on the SPIRIT! The Woman (SOUL) is capable of hearing TWO VOICES. It can hear the voice of the Spirit, but it can also hear the call of the Serpent! Thus, the Woman can rule over the flesh (Ahab), but CANNOT rule over the Spirit (Elijah) [and Jehu, I might add!] It is the Serpent who seeks to make the soul a PRIESTESS and a QUEEN over the flesh through carnal religious doctrines and activities which are the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. THE QUEEN MUST HAVE A KINGDOM EVEN IF IT IS NOT TRULY REAL.” - End Quote.

Michal is the Tabernacle of David that has fallen.  Michal is that version of ourselves which has had no UNION with her Shepherd-King since being espoused to another! It is HER BARREN SOUL. . .HER BARREN WOMB that will be RAISED UP in these last days and RESTORED to heights untold - as when she had first beheld Him!  It is HER WOMB that will be OPENED to Him who is the One, and Only, TRUE WAY to the Father!  It is from the deadness of THIS WOMB that the Manchild shall burst forth!  Aren’t you glad?!

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
